OVERWIND was founded in Krasnodar in the autumn 2013 when four musicians — Anton Emelyanov (guitar), Sergey Krasnozhen (drums), Alexander Chumakov (vocals) and Misha Gigava (bass) started composing music for their new project.
2014.
Release of debut album «Illustrator» («M&O Music», France).
Russia/Belarus tour with RAGE group (Germany).
2015.
As part of the «Giant Leap Tour», OVERWIND gave concerts in Slovakia, Czech Republic, Germany. In addition, the group participated in the largest festival of Slovakia — «Dobry Festival».
Release of the 2nd album – «Level Complete» – on the Power Prog label (Germany).
Special guests of the album were Tim “RIPPER” Owens (Judas Priest, Iced Earth, Yngwie Malmsteen), Peter “Peavy” Wagner (Rage, Refuge, Lingua Mortis Orchestra), Marco Sfogli (James LaBrie, Alex Argento), Victor Smolski (Almanac, Mind Odyssey, Rage, Lingua Mortis Orchestra).
2016.
Russian tour (Voronezh, Rostov-on-don, Kursk, Belgorod, Tambov and Moscow).
OVERWIND released an EP called «Пятый Рим (Fifth Rome)» with Max Lafleur on vocal.
2nd russian tour 2016.
2017.
Preparing of the 3rd full-length album. The vocalist is Diego Teksuo (Spain). The musicians decided to invite vocalists Alexander Grata and Elena Detkova as «special guests» for the recording of the album.
2018.
Release of the 3nd album «I Can Do It Again» («Bad Reputation», France).
2019.
Release of EP «Я Вернусь» («I’ll Be Back») with Andrey Lobashev on vocal.
